Review:
The Rise of the Verbal Villain is unlike anything I have read before. It is unique in more ways than one. It tells the story of sixteen year old Lee, who's having a hard time dealing with the bullies in his life. Sick and tired of the constant torment, he decides to take a stand and retaliate.

This is a great read for just about anyone. It shows you how much being bullied can truly affect someone. Its a really terrible thing and it was only after I read this book that I understood just how terrible it is. You will be inspired to stand up and fight back. I found this story to be raw and honest. I could easily connect with Lee from the very first page. I felt his emotions as If they were my own.

The rhymes in this book took me by surprise. They were absolutely brilliant. I found myself rapping out loud with our main character. I had a few jaw-dropping moments throughout the book, some of the words were pretty vulgar but I understood his anger and need to express himself.

I was content with the pace of the story and the ending. The only thing I wished more from the book was character development. There wasn't anything distinctive about Joe, Rob and Lacey. I wanted to know more about these characters. I wanted to know how they became friends, what they had going on and so forth. I was also curious about Clint and Lucy. But other than that I absolutely love The Rise of the Verbal Villain. I love the title and the cover. Its very original and creative.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some more of the Verbal Villain,

A huge thank you to Lee for providing me with an e-book copy of his novel in return for my honest opinion.
